Masala Restaurants
When Sanjay Sharma decided to open up another new and bigger restaurant in Bothell, it was the perfect opportunity for us to show him what we could do. We originally created two different designs for this new restaurant. The first we introduced with the "Coming soon" version of the web site, but the client felt it was too dark and depressing. The second design launched concurrently with the opening day of the restaurant in 2009. Although it seemed to fit well a very bright and avant gard restaurant atmosphere, it did not fit the "sports bar" mood that the client was seeking. After some extra consultation, we finally conceived and implemented the design that now stands.
About the Client:
Masala has two locations. The first, Masala of India, is the older restaurant in Northgate, near the mall, with an established customer base. That location has it's own web site, which we maintain, but which we did not design.
This project was specifically commissioned for the new restaurant in Bothel, which was opened in 2009. It has a sports bar atmosphere with live bands and karaoke on weekends. The food is absolutely the best Indian cuisine we have tried.
